On the 3rd of August, we held a job hunting seminar with Prof. Inagaki. The students who attended this seminar ranged from 2nd year to 4th year students. Even though there was range of students, the class was small so each participant was able to interact with others closely. The class started with the self-introduction of each student and the other students gave advices on how they could improve their self-introduction to impress the companies at the interview. Also Prof. Inagaki gave some valuable advices to the individual students.
After the self-introduction, the class was divided into two and we had a group discussion. In the group we talked about the questions which were in the past company entrance exams. Then Prof. Inagaki gave us an interesting lecture about self-analysis and business analysis. Prof. Inagaki gave us a point of view from a company as he had an experience with hiring the new graduates in a company. It was a very good opportunity to review the difference between what kinds of person a company would want to hire and what kind of person I am.
In this seminar, each student was able to discuss their thoughts on the job hunting and they were able to learn the other students’ ideas. I would like to thank everyone who were involved and especially Prof. Inagaki for giving us such a valuable opportunity. Thank you all.
