Two groups of College of Business students departed Tokyo on Feb 5th and 6th on the College of Business Overseas English for Academic Purposes program at the University of Sydney and the University of Victoria.

The winter program allows students of the Department of Business to experience the same international business and leadership program that is given to all students of the Department of Global Business in the summer. The students will spend three weeks living in homestays with Canadian and Australian families, studying intensive English classes in the morning, and researching and planning a business project that will develop their business skills and cooperative leadership.

It is hoped that this short but intensive international experience will improve the students’ communicative skills, leadership ability, and cross-cultural understanding. Many students of previous programs have returned with a new understanding of their own abilities, a close relationship with their group members, and an enhanced interest in and understanding of global business issues.
